Overview

The Respiratory Care Practitioner II performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures while providing assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• CA Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.
• NRP certification within 180 days of hire.
• Preferred experience in acute care clinical settings.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
• Skills in arterial puncture and blood gas analysis.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Work schedule includes nights and variable weekends.

Requirements

• Acute care clinical experience in Respiratory Care.
• Training in arterial puncture and blood gas analysis.
• Previous experience in performing EKG is desired.
• Demonstrated familiarity with JCAHO and CAP standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in English language communication.
