Overview

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will own the availability of Sumo’s observability and security products, focusing on operational excellence and cost optimization through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Maintain and execute a reliability roadmap for engineering teams.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives leveraging data insights.
• Develop data models for cost analysis and profitability forecasting.

Requirements

• Experience in cloud-native software financial operations (FinOps).
• Monitoring and forecasting cloud spend experience.
• Cloud application development and operations experience.
• Strong debugging skills across technology stacks.
• Deep understanding of AWS services.
• Competency with CI/CD tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience with full life cycle support of services.
• Ability to write production-ready code in Java, Scala, or Go.
• Experience with Linux systems.
• Agile framework experience, such as Scrum or Kanban.
