The Senior Cloud Engineer will focus on cost optimization, ensuring operational excellence of Sumo’s observability and security products while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience in cloud-native software financial operations (FinOps).
• Monitoring and forecasting cloud spend experience.
• Cloud application development and operations experience.
• Strong debugging skills across technology stacks.
• Deep understanding of AWS services.
• Competency with CI/CD tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience with full life cycle support of services.
• Ability to write production-ready code in Java, Scala, or Go.
• Experience with Linux systems.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.
