Lead Accounting Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Lead Accounting Analyst will be responsible for leading the reconciliation of high-volume general ledger accounts and ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.

• Lead reconciliation of general ledger accounts including cash, AR, AP, intercompany, and accruals.
• Review reconciliations prepared by junior team members for accuracy.
• Resolve complex reconciling items and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal teams for accurate transaction posting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Develop and maintain reconciliation documentation and SOPs.
• Drive process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Mentor junior staff in reconciliation and accounting functions.
• Work flexibility with remote options available.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience with a focus on account reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) preferred.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.
• Proven leadership experience or aspiration to grow into a leadership role.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
