Senior Controls Engineer, Design & Operations - Remote

Overview

The Senior Controls Engineer, Design & Operations will oversee the lifecycle of data center control systems, ensuring quality from design through end of life, and optimizing controls systems for operational efficiency.

• Responsible for cradle-to-grave lifecycle of data center control systems.
• Oversee commissioning, deployment, and maintenance of controls systems.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure project delivery.
• Travel expected to regional data center sites across the U.S.
• Lead design and construction administration as a subject matter expert.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of existing control systems.
• Ensure compliance with tenant lease requirements.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Drive project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
• Occasional work outside normal hours for emergencies.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, etc.).
• 5+ years of experience in critical environment controls systems.
• B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Building Management Systems and electrical power monitoring systems.
• Proficient in engineering documentation and project management.
• Experience with PLC programming and controls design projects.
• Knowledge of data center facilities infrastructure.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-engineers.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint, BIM/Revit, and Salesforce.
• Direct experience with electrical distribution systems.
