Overview

The Maine CDC’s Oral Health Program is seeking a Planning and Research Associate I to join our team. This position will work under the direction of the Program Manager to provide data support, contract development and oversight, as needed, and support Maine CDC’s oral health priorities in its response to the impact of COVID-19 on the oral health status of Maine people.

In Short

  • Perform complex assignments in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data for policy development.
  • Respond to technical requests for data from various agencies.
  • Produce core reports and coordinate specific data analyses.
  • Provide technical assistance to communities and oral health care providers.
  • Establish and maintain supportive working relationships with agencies and stakeholders.
  • Design and produce graphic displays for quantitative information.
  • Assist with budgetary needs and federal grant funding opportunities.
  • Partial telework allowed with management approval.
  • Full-time position located in Augusta, Maine.
  • Salary range: $43,014.40 - $60,070.40 per year.

Requirements

  • Six years of education, training, or experience in research and planning.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and data analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently and establish effective relationships.
