Overview

As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer at SpruceID, you will work at the intersection of engineering and customer delivery, directly engaging with state governments and public sector partners to create solutions for digital identity challenges.

In Short

• Lead the design and development of products for state governments and enterprise customers.
• Collaborate with customer delivery leads, engineers, and UX designers for successful project delivery.
• Translate customer requirements into technical architectures and implementations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to public sector partners on standards adoption.

• Contribute to Rust codebases for backend services and mobile devices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development with statically typed languages.
• Experience with modern web frontends meeting accessibility and security standards.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering efforts.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in a consulting role.
• Must be based in the US and engage with state government partners.
