Home Next Formats helps Spotify reach its goal of activating more customers to the Audiobooks format by creating engaging Audiobook recommendation products. Those products recommend Audiobooks based on Podcast and Audiobook listening habits working in and across content types. They also work on a realtime contextual Audiobook ranker which powers most of their products. In the future they'll expand their technology to take advantage of LLMs or other Generative Recommenders products.

In Short

• Design, build, evaluate, and ship ML solutions for safety in Spotify’s personalization products
• Collaborate with cross functional teams spanning user research, design, data science, product management, and engineering
• Prototype new approaches and productionize solutions at scale for hundreds of millions of active users
• Promote and role-model best practices of ML systems development
• Be part of an active group of machine learning practitioners in New York and across Spotify

Requirements

• An experienced ML practitioner motivated to work on complex real-world problems
• Strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and/or generative AI
• Hands-on expertise with implementing end-to-end production ML systems at scale
• Experience with Pytorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn is a strong plus
• Experience with designing end-to-end tech specs and modular architectures for ML frameworks
• Experience with large scale, distributed data processing frameworks/tools
