Director of Underwriting and Processing - Remote

Overview

As Splitero’s Director of Underwriting and Processing, you will oversee two teams essential to our Home Equity Investment product. You will ensure our Individual Contributors have what they need to successfully and quickly process and underwrite files flowing through our pipeline.

In Short

• Manage, mentor, and guide Processing and Underwriting managers.
• Oversee team performance goals and individual expectations.
• Ensure strong collaboration between Processing and Underwriting departments.
• Own investment risk policy and update internal policies.
• Participate in Splitero’s Credit Committee.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex issues.
• Implement scalable strategies that improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Own and report on key metrics.
• Execute headcount planning and talent acquisition strategies.
• Partner with various departments to drive production growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading processing and underwriting teams.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead other managers.
• Deep understanding of regulatory guidelines and risk frameworks.
• Analytical expertise within Salesforce environment.
• Strong analytical skills for decision-making.
• Extensive title curative experience.
• Desire to participate in a fast-paced early-stage startup.
• Adaptability and team-oriented mindset.
