Associate Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an early career Associate Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, mission driven company. The Associate Accountant will support the month end close process, vendor and expense management, and compliance activities, while contributing to continuous improvements in overall accounting operations.

In Short

• Participate in month end closing activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Assist in managing vendor payment cycles and invoice processing.
• Support the expense reimbursement process and provide system administration support.
• Help administer the corporate purchasing card program.
• Contribute to corporate and sales tax compliance reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for annual audits.
• Perform ad hoc accounting projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting or ERP systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
