Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

SOLID is seeking a Software Engineer to support a high-visibility U.S. Marine Corps program. This work-from-home position is critical to the modernization of legacy applications that serve real mission needs within the Department of Defense.

In Short

• Join a distributed Agile development team focused on delivering secure, efficient, and scalable software.
• Work with technologies including Java 8, Spring, WildFly, and SQL Server.
• Participate in the modernization of legacy applications.
• Develop and maintain full stack application components using Java and .NET.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in Agile development processes.
• Contribute to the creation of system documentation.
• Communicate status updates and solutions to stakeholders.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Work from home position.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript and jQuery.
• Experience with legacy Java, JSP, and MSSQL databases.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/DevOps process.
• Proficient with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience migrating frameworks.
• Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
