General Ledger Accountant - Remote

Overview

The General Ledger (GL) Accountant at Solugen is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting the close process while ensuring compliance with GAAP.

In Short

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Support the monthly close process and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and schedules.
• Collaborate with operations teams on inventory and cost allocations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and support audits.
• Implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills required.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger processes.
• Experience with ERP system - NetSuite.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication skills.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance is a plus.
• Background in process manufacturing preferred.
