General Ledger Accountant - Remote

Overview

Primer is looking for an exceptional candidate for this high-impact role. The GL Accountant will support Primer’s Head of Finance and Controller in the accurate maintenance of the Company’s financial books, records, and accounting policies.

In Short

• The core responsibility of the GL Accountant will be to support the company’s month-end close procedures and maintenance of associated workpapers in accordance with GAAP and best practices.
• Manage the entire fixed asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, involving tracking capital expenditures and performing reconciliations.
• Coordinate with the Revenue / Receivables team to drive timely cash applications.
• Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure proper elimination entries for consolidating legal entities.
• Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for annual financial audits.
• Interface with accounts payable to ensure appropriate classification of expenses.

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience as an in-house accounting professional.
• A completed university degree in accounting; CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong proficiency with NetSuite and Ramp; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets required.
• Comprehensive familiarity with GAAP accounting.
