Platform Engineer (Kafka Expertise) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Platform/DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Apache Kafka to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the go-to expert for all Kafka-related work, helping to shape our architecture, drive best practices, and guide our engineering teams in scaling, monitoring, and optimizing our data streaming platform.

In Short

• Lead the design and optimization of our event streaming platform.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of Apache Kafka.
• Strong background in platform engineering and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitLab.
• Skilled in Python and Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud networking components.
• Comfortable with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Self-driven and able to make technical decisions independently.
