Overview

The Senior Solutions Architect – Implementations is a hands-on, customer-facing role responsible for designing scalable, standards-aligned healthcare data solutions using Smile Digital Health’s platform.

In Short

• Lead architectural design and solutioning during discovery and early implementation phases.
• Provide ongoing architectural oversight and hands-on technical guidance.
• Evaluate customer-specific requirements and make technical recommendations.
• Collaborate regularly with internal teams to resolve architectural questions.
• Take ownership of evolving or refactoring designs when new constraints emerge.
• Actively participate in customer-facing meetings and design reviews.
• Contribute to internal architecture review boards and design documentation.
• Stay current with Smile’s product roadmap and technical stack.
• Accurately track time and ensure project management artifacts are logged.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture.
• Proven ability to lead customer-facing architecture discussions.
• Experience designing solutions with real-time data ingestion technologies.
• Strong understanding of clinical data modeling and terminology mapping.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture and deployment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Proficiency with solution diagramming and design tools.
