In Short

• Submit corrected claims and/or appeals to appropriate insurance.
• Ensure claims are being sent to correct insurance and/or address.
• Complete a high level on claims: 80-100 a day.
• Investigate claims for ensure they are processed correctly.
• Follow up on claims to ensure payment received or if any other course of action is necessary.
• Refund patients and or insurance companies when appropriate.
• Demonstrates competency in job-related skills while providing excellent customer service.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or one year of work-related experience.
• Certificate of billing or one year of work-related experience (preferred).
• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college (highly preferred).
• Familiar with PC and Microsoft Office software.
• Familiar with Imagine EMR system (preferred).
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to research and analyze data.
• High degree of professionalism and comfort working with customers.
• Sense of urgency regarding quality of work.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
