Overview

The Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer plays a critical role in transforming raw data into structured datasets that facilitate decision-making across the organization.

In Short

Develop and maintain dbt Core models in Snowflake.
Design and optimize data models to meet business reporting needs.
Collaborate with data engineers on ELT pipeline enhancements.
Automate data transformations using Python.
Monitor and improve query performance in Snowflake.
Implement data quality checks and testing frameworks.
Work with analysts to optimize models for self-service analytics.
Support data governance initiatives.
Engage cross-functionally with business teams.
3+ years of experience required in BI engineering or analytics.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred.
Strong proficiency in SQL and dbt Core.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar platforms.
Experience with Python for data automation.
Understanding of dimensional modeling and ELT/ETL principles.
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
Experience with BI tools such as Sigma or Tableau is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
