Applications Developer (ColdFusion) - Remote

Overview

Come join a small, dynamic team of developers building important applications that help power university team travel across the US. The successful candidate will support existing ColdFusion-based web applications and will also learn other application development platforms.

In Short

• Ensure uptime for all internal and client-facing applications.
• Maintain SLAs on bug detection to resolution.
• Conduct regular code reviews and optimizations.
• Deploy significant new features or improvements each year.
• Lead the development of a major new module or service.
• Collaborate with product management and customer service teams.
• Introduce significant process or technology improvements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with other development languages, preferably .NET or React.
• Strong knowledge of ColdFusion, including CFML, CFCs, and CFScript.
• Strong background in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX) and SQL databases.
• Experience with ColdFusion frameworks and tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and web services (REST, SOAP).
• Experience manipulating and analyzing travel agency data (desirable).
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields (desirable).
