Overview

We’re seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer who thrives on project work and is ready to embark on a new assignment. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to enhance and refine the automotive manufacturing process. You’ll be part of a vibrant and innovative team, contributing to projects ensuring production processes are followed and operating optimally. A comprehensive understanding of machining processes, automotive design principles, cutting tools, and GD&T is essential, as is proficiency in basic 2D CAD software.

In Short

  • Analyze powertrain part prints and organize features and dimensions produced during machining.
  • Utilize the Quality Control Plan to identify checked features and document inspection methods.
  • Review cutting tool preset machine programs for additional features being checked.
  • Document part print features not being checked by the Control Plan or Tool Control document.
  • Provide a comprehensive list of features and their inspection methods for review.
  • Utilize CAD software for drawing review and analysis.
  • Prioritize and sequence tasks effectively to complete assignments.
  • Communicate regularly with team members and management about process improvements.
  • Analyze prints and work orders to identify discrepancies affecting production or quality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong understanding of automotive design principles.
  • Proficiency in machining processes and cutting tools.
  • Familiarity with GD&T standards.
  • Experience with 2D CAD software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must reside within 60 miles of Nashville, TN.
  • Must not require sponsorship.
