M&A Research Specialist - Remote

Overview

The M&A Research Specialist will be responsible for identifying acquisition targets that align with the business initiatives for the development and overall external growth strategy of the designated business in Europe.

In Short

• Identify acquisition targets in collaboration with country managers.
• Support workstreams leading to executed transactions.
• Make initial contact with potential acquisition targets.
• Prepare presentations and financial analyses for proposals.
• Work with Corporate Development on securing Group approval.
• Ensure compliance with SGS Code of Integrity.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Conduct market research to identify M&A opportunities.
• Utilize software skills for financial modeling and analysis.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a similar role or business development.
• Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, CRM systems, and PowerPoint.
• Attention to detail in preparing financial analyses.
• Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to analyze market trends and competitive positioning.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French and German is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction.
