Overview

As a Data Center Operations Engineer, you will be part of the Service Engineering team responsible for global infrastructure design and operations, ensuring efficient processes and vendor management.

In Short

• Support data center operations across Lisle, IL and Aurora, IL.
• Engineer and streamline processes related to security and asset management.
• Develop and document best practices for data center operations.
• Act as the primary contact for all vendors in data centers.
• Integrate AI into work processes and decision-making.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting and break-fix tasks.
• Manage and document technical processes and standards.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Work independently in ambiguous situations.
• Lead cross-functional teams on technical projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data center or facility operations.
• Experience with telco circuit installation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of data center facilities, infrastructure, and networking.
• Strong analytical and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in process development and ITIL methodologies.
• CompTIA certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple issues.
• Willingness to embrace diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Excellent documentation skills with a focus on technical standards.
