Overview

Sentara is hiring an OB Technologist at Sentara Leigh Hospital, in Norfolk, Virginia, responsible for assisting in the nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area.

In Short

• Part Time position, 24 hours per week.
• Assists in nursing care and surgical services in maternity services.
• Activities performed within the scope of education, training, and experience.
• LPN or Surgical Technologist education & training accepted.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior Surgical Technologist and/or L&D, OB OR experience preferred.
• Located at Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, VA.
• Part of a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center.

Requirements

• Education as a Surgical Technologist or LPN required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Knowledge of operating room and obstetrical practice standards.
• Ability to assist in patient care and documentation.
• Effective communication skills.
• Commitment to patient comfort and hygiene.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Adaptability to rotating shifts.
