Overview

As a Claims Examiner at Sedgwick, you will analyze and process complex auto and commercial transportation claims, ensuring proper documentation and communication with stakeholders.

In Short

  • Analyze and process complex auto and commercial transportation claims.
  • Ensure claims are properly documented and coded.
  • Manage the litigation process for litigated claims.
  • Coordinate vendor management and investigations.
  • Report large claims to excess carriers.
  • Develop action plans to meet state contact deadlines.
  • Pursue subrogation and risk transfer opportunities.
  • Communicate with insured, client, and agents as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Support the organization's quality programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years of claims management experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial line auto policies.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology for claims evaluation.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet or exceed service expectations.
