Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant at SeatGeek plays a key role in the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and supports the monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities. They work closely with Senior Accountants, Senior Managers, and other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger balances, reconciliations, payment processing, and accounting compliance across multiple subsidiaries.

In Short

• Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all cash and investment accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries for payroll, accruals, prepaids, and various expense items.
• Prepare and review invoices for ticket sales and professional services.
• Manage and reconcile prepaid assets and calculate monthly amortization.
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis.
• Participate in SOX and operational controls for audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems like NetSuite and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Collaborative mindset and proactive communication.
