Head of Human Resources (m/f/d) - Remote

Overview

A well-established, medium-sized family business from the Dortmund area is seeking an experienced HR professional to strategically and operationally reshape the HR function. In a transformation process, it is essential to establish modern structures and processes close to employees, engaging over 1,000 employees – primarily in the industrial sector – and future-proofing the HR department.

In Short

• Lead a larger HR team and be responsible for the development of the entire HR work.
• Optimize HR processes through the introduction of modern digital solutions across all phases of the employee lifecycle.
• Design and implement contemporary and creative recruiting approaches, especially to attract skilled workers in the industrial sector.
• Work closely with management and support them in strategic and operational HR matters.
• Build and maintain the employer brand in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote a harmonious dialogue between employees, management, and the works council.

Requirements

• A degree focused on human resource management or comparable training with substantial professional experience.
• Comprehensive HR knowledge in breadth and depth, particularly in HR leadership, ideally in a family-run company.
• Solid knowledge of labor law issues and collective bargaining, company constitution, and social law.
• Proven experience in supporting and implementing change and transformation processes for the development of structures and teams.
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking combined with clear communication.
• Enjoy actively shaping change and guiding people through it, with persuasive communication skills at all levels, perseverance, and strong social leadership skills.
