Overview

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is part of the UnitedHealth Group (UHG) account sales team and serves as the primary technical liaison between UnitedHealth Group and internal SAS teams. This role is critical for ensuring technical alignment across UHG’s diverse business units and supporting strategic initiatives such as platform modernization, AI enablement, and cloud migration.

In Short

  • Serve as the primary technical contact between Account Executives, Systems Engineers, and other services.
  • Establish and build relationships with customers, identifying strategic opportunities.
  • Leverage knowledge of domain, industry, and SAS solutions to enhance credibility in sales.

Requirements

  • Strong familiarity with UnitedHealth Group’s dynamics.
  • Minimum of 10 years in technical account management or related fields.
  • Understanding of healthcare IT, cloud infrastructure, and compliance.
  • Experience leading cloud transformations.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
