Staff Platform Engineer - Developer Tooling (Python) - Remote

Overview

Sandisk is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer with strong Python skills to build and scale internal tools and infrastructure that support and accelerate engineering teams.

• Design and maintain developer-facing internal tools focused on automation and scalability.
• Create a secure and scalable CI/CD framework using tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Build integrations for security automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance developer productivity through platform tooling and smart CLI tools.
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams for robust tooling.
• Improve infrastructure efficiency in both on-prem and cloud environments.
• Support engineers on tooling best practices and DevOps principles.
• Document systems and processes for transparency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience with a focus on Python.
• Proven success in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of security best practices for workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform a plus).
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• A passion for improving developer experience.
