Overview

The Field Support Technician's primary role is to provide exceptional frontline assistance and technical support to customers, particularly to a state agency that utilizes advanced technology products.

In Short

  • Maintain professional relationships with customers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with in-vehicle camera systems.
  • Conduct hands-on repairs and maintenance on video systems.
  • Train end-users on video recording equipment and software.
  • Guide IT staff through troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
  • Install camera equipment and manage IP networks.
  • Collaborate with engineering to test new technologies.
  • Manage technical support inquiries and RMA tickets.
  • Create technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Travel throughout the state of California.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in technical support focused on hardware.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server and basic Linux operations.
  • Experience with troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies and networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Familiarity with 12V automotive electronics.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
