Overview

As a Remote Hands-On Engineering Manager at RoomPriceGenie, you'll lead a small team (3 engineers) working on data-intensive systems that power key parts of our product.

In Short

• Lead, coach and support a small team of engineers working on data-intensive systems.
• Drive the technical direction and delivery of projects that process large-scale datasets.
• Foster strong engineering practices around system reliability and data correctness.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
• Stay technically engaged through code reviews and discussions.
• Collaborate closely with Product and other teams.
• Improve engineering processes and team practices.
• Help evolve data and platform architecture.

Requirements

• Strong experience building and operating production systems.
• Experience leading engineers or technical initiatives.
• Exceptional Senior, Staff or Tech Lead engineers are encouraged to apply.
• Comfortable staying technically involved while leading a team.
• Experience with data platforms or large-scale data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of system design and operational reliability.
• Experience with modern data tooling such as Snowflake or dbt.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English and based in the European time zone.
