Senior Network Engineer - Remote

Overview

In Short

• Responsible for administration and optimization of the cross-location network (LAN/WLAN/MAN), firewall, and proxy systems up to Layer 7 Security.
• Ensure secure integration of various network devices including managed and unmanaged devices, IoT, and medical IoT.
• Build an intelligent network based on security zones and availability requirements with device recognition and automatic assignment.
• Monitor network capacities and availability as well as evaluate and possibly implement a private 5G network.
• Support other areas of the IT infrastructure team including servers, storage, virtualization, clients, Active Directory, Exchange, and Linux systems.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of in-depth experience in network, WLAN, network security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure with detailed knowledge and experience in Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Knowledge in client and application management as well as storage and virtualization.
• Extensive experience in automation of IT systems is a plus.
• Good analytical and conceptual skills, as well as high customer orientation.
• Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
