Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Roadie, you will work to create technology solving real-world problems in the crowdsourced delivery space, evolving the architecture and design of backend frameworks for scalability and performance.

In Short

• Play an integral role in the development, design, testing, and maintenance of Roadie’s platform APIs and services
• Refactor existing systems and architect new features and solutions at scale
• Partner with Engineering leadership to scope and define work
• Support and improve performance, efficiency, and maintainability of applications
• Mentor developers in planning, development, and testing
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams on backend architectural design
• Establish and improve software engineering best practices

Requirements

• At least 6+ years of software architecture and development experience
• Strong expertise in Ruby and/or Go
• Experience with Stripe, Checkr, Persona is a plus
• Exposure to microservices design and architecture
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Proven track record of stable and secure code in production
• Desire for continuous improvement of processes and code
• Strong communication skills
