Director of Accounting - Remote

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Accounting to join our team.

In Short

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
• Prepare and review financial statements for stakeholders.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights on performance indicators.
• Manage revenue recognition process in compliance with ASC 606.
• Oversee annual financial audit and tax preparation processes.
• Cultivate a collaborative team environment and mentor team members.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Stay updated on best practices in accounting and technology.
• Lead a high-performing accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and GAAP expertise.
• In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
• Experience with NetSuite is required.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
