Quality Assurance Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role involves analyzing business processes, defining test strategies, and documenting defects to enhance software reliability.

• Assure the process for contracting software is adequate
• Perform acceptance testing on the software
• Analyze and define existing business processes and interdependencies
• Analyze functional specs for completeness & test ability
• Define and document test strategies and scripts based on functional specs
• Analyze test output, identify discrepancies and document defects
• Ensure requirements are testable
• Document issues and propose options for resolution
• Assist in the development and execution of test cases
• Verify application functions according to expected results and system requirements

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of quality assurance and software testing
• User support experience is desirable
• B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of the IT Industry is a plus
• Proficient knowledge of testing tools and processes
• Able to comprehend directions from senior IT/QA team members
