Director of Security - Remote

Overview

The Director of Security will oversee and lead Remote’s security team and function. They will manage Remote’s security strategy and its implementation to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organisation’s systems and information.

In Short

• Define, implement, communicate and maintain security strategy, policies, goals and requirements.
• Work with the Security Council and senior leadership in developing Remote’s Information Security vision.
• Recruit and nurture individual growth to build a high performing Security team.
• Advocate for information security best practices and improve Remote’s security posture.
• Drive security risk management program in collaboration with Legal, Data Protection and Finance.
• Manage Application Security initiatives to ensure secure platform delivery.
• Build a Security Incident Response processes and culture.
• Report security risks, threats, incidents, and performance to top management.
• Drive security compliance requirements from customers and regulations.
• Supervise management and improvement of Remote’s ISMS.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing security teams and resources.
• Certified in cybersecurity management (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
• Experience in cyber security strategy management and implementation.
• Proficient with security principles and technologies.
• Ability to articulate security issues to business stakeholders.
• Navigate through ambiguous problems in a hyper-growth environment.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
