Level 3 IT Technician - Remote

Overview

We’re seeking a highly skilled Level 3 IT Technician to join a dynamic UK-based Managed Service Provider (MSP). This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in South Africa who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about complex infrastructure and systems support. As the final point of technical escalation, you’ll be instrumental in designing IT solutions, resolving advanced technical issues, and mentoring junior technicians – all while working with a cutting-edge tech stack in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

In Short

• Serve as the final escalation point for complex IT issues, supporting a diverse client base.
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server & Active Directory.
• Support Microsoft 365 & Exchange Online.
• Handle virtualisation platforms like Hyper-V and VMware.
• Manage firewalls and networking aspects.
• Perform scripting and automation tasks.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis.
• Contribute to infrastructure design and implementation.
• Mentor junior technicians.
• Provide client-facing consultation.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of IT support experience.
• Proven expertise in server, network, and cloud infrastructure management.
• Certifications preferred: CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco CCNA.
• Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Proficiency with RMM/PSA tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Access to a reliable laptop and high-speed internet.
