Staff Accountant - Remote

The Staff Accountant at Sandstone Care plays a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations that are critical to the health of the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and working collaboratively across departments to ensure the integrity and timeliness of accounting processes. In Short

• Accurately input data across multiple systems related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and insurance
• Collaborate with the HR/Accounting Specialist and other internal teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting records
• Coordinate with the Insurance Advocate Team on the recording and submission of insurance claims
• Support special projects and contribute to continuous process improvements
• Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial reports
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial policies
• Participate in the facility-wide Performance Improvement Program and related initiatives
• Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Required: 1–2 years of previous accounting experience
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, accounting, or finance
• Preferred: Experience with QuickBooks, Power BI, and other accounting systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working across teams
• Technologically proficient and quick to learn new systems
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
