Accountant - Remote

Overview

Our client is looking for a dynamic and independent self-starter for an exciting Family Office Accountant position. This role is a great opportunity for a rising Accountant who wants broad experience and a strong career path. You will be expected to work from your own home office in a fast paced environment on a wide range of clients. We work hard but also value work/life balance. In Short

• Accountant for multiple small and medium-sized companies
• Performs most accounting functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable / order entry, cash management, payroll, month-end & year-end close process
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with clients and Controllers on a daily basis
• Bring strategic insights to our clients
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of daily accounting, provide valuable insights, and maintain outstanding client satisfaction
• Troubleshoot accounting and technology/software issues

Requirements

• 4 year Accounting degree
• 3-5 years of previous experience desired
• Family Office or Investment Accounting experience a plus
• CPA firm experience highly preferred
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience w/Sage Intacct a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to get your hands dirty
• Extremely organized
• Independent work ethic and able to solve problems on your own
• Problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Self-starter – always looking for ways to improve processes and add value to clients
