Our client is an outsourced accounting firm seeking a dynamic and independent self-starter for an exciting Controller position within our family office niche. In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with your peers and clients to develop your leadership, technical and professional skills while working on challenging and exciting engagements. In Short

  • Controller for multiple Family Office clients.
  • Develop accounting procedures and recommend changes.
  • Responsible for client engagements ensuring timely and accurate execution of daily accounting.
  • Preparation of financial statements and customized reports.
  • Oversight and management of multiple bookkeepers and accountants.
  • Communication with clients on financial performance and recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot accounting and technology/software issues.
  • Preparation/review of month end and year end workpapers.
  • Handle all record keeping of investments in accounting system.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and investment accounts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in the Accounting Industry.
  • 5+ years in a role managing clients and staff.
  • Strong understanding of Investment Accounting preferred.
  • Client Accounting experience preferred.
  • Sage Intacct experience preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple clients/projects.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Independent work ethic and problem-solving skills.
  • Family Office Fund accounting experience a plus.
