Join our dynamic team as a Critical Operating Engineer in the heart of New York City's vibrant Flatiron District! As a member of Local Union 94, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our prestigious financial client's state-of-the-art facilities.

In Short

• Maintain, monitor, and repair building systems including fire/life safety, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Manage facility services, preventive maintenance, purchasing, and inventory.
• Review client service requests to address recurring issues.
• Oversee contractor activities and provide necessary training.
• Comply with emergency escalation procedures.
• Implement Critical Work Authorization Process (CWAP).
• Maintain engineering logs, data sheets, and building rounds records.
• Conduct tool and instrument inventory checks.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Work on a Monday - Friday day shift with on-call 24/7 for emergency responses.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED and two years of trade school in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
• 5+ years of commercial engineering experience.
• Local Union 94 membership (or within 30 days of employment).
• Q-01 or Q-99 Refrigeration Engineer certification.
• S-95 Supervision of Fire Alarms certification.
• Experience in a data center/critical facility.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
• B-29 or B-28 Supervision of Battery Systems certification preferred.
