Operating Engineer - Remote

Overview

As an Operating Engineer at JLL, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring building systems, ensuring their continuous operation and compliance with safety standards.

In Short

• Maintain and monitor building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Analyze and resolve operational issues in building systems.
• Oversee contractor activities within the building.
• Maintain records of engineering logs and data sheets.
• Ensure adherence to emergency procedures and critical awareness processes.
• Implement and coordinate Preventative Maintenance Programs.
• Provide engineering support for complex utility and mechanical procedures.
• Assist with regulatory inspections and audits.
• Work collaboratively with team members and contractors.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance.
• Operating Engineer (BOC) or applicable licenses preferred.
• CMMS experience is a plus.
• Technical knowledge of critical environments and HVAC systems.
• Proficient in MS Office and other computer applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of energy management programs.
• On-call responsibilities as assigned.
