Operating Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Operating Engineer is responsible for completing tasks related to tenant services, preventive maintenance, equipment monitoring, and general maintenance with minimal supervision, ensuring tenant comfort and safety.

• Complete tasks as directed by the Lead Engineer.
• Respond to tenant service requests and complaints.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Monitor and record equipment readings and operational occurrences.
• Conduct general maintenance and repairs.
• Make adjustments to HVAC equipment as needed.
• Assist in the startup and shutdown of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in mechanical spaces.
• Report any equipment problems to the Lead Engineer.
• Flexibility in assuming additional responsibilities.

Requirements

• Experience in building maintenance or engineering.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems.
• Strong communication skills for tenant interaction.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks.
• Attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours if needed.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
