Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing month-end entries, reconciliations, and processing payments, while ensuring adherence to financial laws and guidelines.

In Short

• Assist in providing reports to internal and external auditors
• Prepare month-end journal entries
• Prepare monthly and daily sub ledger reconciliations
• Assist payout team with inquiries regarding payment status
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliation
• Maintain transaction data integrity across platforms
• Report agent and other departments inquiries to manager
• Assist in processing of annual T4A slips
• Assist in the month-end close process
• Monthly reconciliation of Credit Cards

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
• Proficient in MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
• Analytical mind with strategic ability
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
