Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant is responsible for organizing, reconciling, and entering into the ERP a variety of transactions, processing payroll, and assisting with administrative tasks to support the department's operations.

In Short

• Organizes and reconciles financial transactions.
• Processes payroll for A.A. World Services.
• Assists with audit preparation and documentation.
• Maintains filing and data systems for the Finance Department.
• Prepares monthly sales tax reconciliation.
• Participates in month-end close processes.
• Performs bank reconciliations and resolves discrepancies.
• Creates journal entries for various financial activities.
• Provides backup support for contributions lockbox.
• Maintains professionalism and discretion in all tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant experience.
• Bookkeeping experience preferred.
• CPA is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with accounting practices and controls.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism required.
