Overview

The Storage Engineer II plays a critical role in providing exceptional technical support to customers, managing storage solutions, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of storage systems.

In Short

• Provide fanatical support to customers via phone and ticketing system.
• Configure and manage Storage Arrays for over 18,000 customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues efficiently.
• Advise on best practices for reliable and efficient storage solutions.
• Work with both internal teams and customers to create effective storage solutions.
• Perform quality control and auditing of storage environments.
• Coach team members on technical skills and customer service.
• Handle escalated customer issues and manage escalations.
• Ensure compliance with change and risk control environments.
• Participate in 24/7 support with varying shifts based on operational needs.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in Storage and Fiber Channel switch environments.
• 3 years of experience in a customer service-oriented role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on experience with EMC VMAX, NetApp, and Brocade technologies.
• Valid certifications in Storage (EMC/NetApp) preferred.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of VMware, Windows, Linux, SQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Familiarity with Networking and Fiber Channel concepts.
