Overview

The role specializes in identifying, developing, and closing opportunities with new or existing customers to deliver profitable growth and positive customer experiences. It involves owning and developing customer relationships, collaborating with internal resources, and leveraging subject matter experts to provide solutions aligned with business-unit priorities.

In Short

  • Responsible for the full sales cycle from winning new customers to growing existing accounts.
  • Engages with C-suite executives to understand customer challenges.
  • Plans and executes pursuit and win strategies for specified opportunities.
  • Builds deep relationships with strategic customers and prospects.
  • Utilizes industry knowledge to differentiate Rackspace and acquire new customers.
  • Creates and implements account development strategies.
  • Maintains a twelve-month business account plan and appropriate reporting framework.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to create new revenue streams.
  • Responsible for adhering to company security policies.
  • Local travel up to 90% required.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in the field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a related field.
  • AWS and Azure Certificates in sales training are a plus.
  • High School Diploma or regional equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
  • Negotiation and public speaking skills.
  • Client/customer service experience.
  • Experience in consultative selling.
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions, especially AWS and Azure.
