Overview

Quora is a remote-first company focused on growing and sharing the world’s knowledge through its platforms, Quora and Poe. The Senior Software Engineer will work on building a company-wide ML development platform.

In Short

• Architect and maintain large scale distributed systems for ML workflows.
• Develop services using open source technologies like Kubernetes, Tensorflow, and PyTorch.
• Own critical infrastructure and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to enhance their impact.
• 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning or related fields.
• Experience in Python, C++, or similar languages.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong communication skills preferred.
• Experience with containerized infrastructure is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies.

Requirements

• Available during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm PT).
• Experience with end-to-end machine learning systems.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in production code writing.
• Degree in a technical field.
