Senior Project Engineer, Thermal - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Project Engineer in our San Diego office, you will function as the technical lead for projects involving thermal design & analysis of aerospace systems and payloads.

In Short

• Manage all aspects of thermal analysis projects.
• Own Quartus’ relationships with clients.
• Contribute to sales efforts by writing proposals.
• Plan and lead thermal tests.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
• Perform thermal modeling and analysis.
• Track schedules and budgets.
• Help mentor younger engineers.
• Support sales activities to help bring in new work.
• Execute successfully to project requirements.

Requirements

• BS or MS in mechanical, aerospace, structural, or similar engineering field.
• 6+ years of work experience with strong focus on thermal design, analysis, and testing.
• Experience in Thermal Desktop required.
• Experience in additional simulation tools such as ANSYS is a plus.
• Experience with or willingness to learn STOP analysis.
• Experience in spacecraft and optical systems.
• US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident).
