Part-Time IT Support Technician - Remote

Overview

As a Part-Time IT Support Technician, you will provide Tier 1 IT support for various systems, ensuring continuous operation during off-hours.

In Short

• Provide Tier 1 IT support for network, web, data exchange, and notification systems.
• Support servers and desktops outside regular office hours (6 PM to 6 AM).
• Address IT incidents using common troubleshooting skills.
• Follow documented procedures and contact higher-tier support when necessary.
• Respond to on-site issues within one hour of request.
• Five years of IT support experience required.
• Experience with Windows and Linux client and server systems.
• Familiarity with networking systems like FortiGate and Juniper.
• Knowledge of VM infrastructures and AWS.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for Government contracts.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in IT support services.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems.
• Knowledge of networking systems (FortiGate, Juniper, HP, Dell).
• Familiar with DOI and USGS security regulations.
• Experience with network and host system monitoring.
• Familiarity with AWS.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
