IT Technical Support Specialist - Remote

Overview

As an IT Technical Support Specialist, you will join the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) project team to troubleshoot and resolve systems or hardware related incidents while providing helpdesk support.

In Short

• Answer incoming customer emails to the Help Desk.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues.
• Document reported production outages/incidents.
• Communicate clearly with team members.
• Submit tickets for new service requests.
• Perform hardware and software installations.
• Provide IT support at events.
• Manage staff onboarding and offboarding.
• Provide training to new staff members.
• Oversee deployments and relocations of staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 40lbs.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience managing data coordination projects.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems.
• Experienced in applying security patches and updates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
• Capable of diagnosing hardware component failures.
• Adept in managing network performance and connectivity.
