Lead DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

Protex AI is a VC-backed technology company building a privacy-preserving computer vision platform to enable proactive Health and Safety (EHS) workflows. We leverage the domain knowledge of EHS teams to help our computer vision system understand the concept of danger, preventing accidents before they occur.

• Lead infrastructure efforts across cloud and edge environments.
• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Design scalable observability systems.
• Drive system reliability across globally distributed environments.
• Support well-architected, cost-effective, and secure infrastructure.
• Manage cloud security enforcement and compliance with regional standards.
• Work closely with engineering teams.
• Maintain environment parity (Dev, Stage, Prod).
• Ensure secure, high-quality data across all regions.
• Influence technical direction and mentor others.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE roles.
• Proven experience in SRE with a focus on uptime, reliability, and system health.
• Expertise in monitoring, observability, and reliability best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and automation (cloud and edge).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Substantial knowledge of AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch).
• Ability to deploy infrastructure across regions while maintaining GDPR compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
